How Does Google Make Money?

How does Google make money?
Google is the biggest search engine in the world.
Every second, an estimated 40,000 searches are made.
Google was created in 1995 by two college students at Stanford University, Sergey Brin and Larry Page.
The reason Google was so revolutionary back then was because of its algorithm
Most other search engines ranked results by counting how many times the search terms appeared on the page.
Google on the other hand, determines a website’s relevance by the number of pages, and the importance of those pages, that link back to the original site.
But how does it make money?
Google makes money through advertising.
This means companies pay Google to place advertisements on relevant searches people make on the search engine.
For instance, if Judie, coffees shop owner wanted to draw customers to her shop online,
She would firstly need to pay Google for certain key words like ‘coffee’ and ‘drink’, and then create an ad for these words.
This means if people ever searched these key words, Judie’s ad would appear and draw attention to her shop.
This is in essence how Google works.
